Conference:
"European Union at the crossroads:
the need for constitutional and economic changes"
17-18 May 2007

Call for papers
The main objective of the conference is to continue the debate on the Constitutional Treaty. Taking into account that Germany will take the presidency of the European Union, we think that this is a good moment to consider the future of the European Union with or without the Constitutional Treaty.

The Conference will not be limited to the issues concerning this Treaty. We would also like to have a look at the changes which take place in the European Union, both in relation to its enlargement as well as to the development of the European integration.

We suggest the following main themes:

Constitutional changes - do we really need them? The debate on the Constitutional Treaty;
Charter of Fundamental Rights;
Changes in the field of European Union Policies.
