OBJECTIVE:

The annual World Economy Research Institute international conference is organized in order to present the current report on Poland's Competitiveness. This year special theme of the annual conference is The Role of Foreign Direct Investment In Shaping Competitive Advantages.

We invite empirical papers related to the general theme of FDI and its impact on the competition of the EU countries. Papers that focus on particular aspects of FDI and provide new insights will be welcomed. Authors are especially encouraged to consider submitting papers that challenge conventional and existing theories and findings on FDI.
Selected papers will be published.

TOPICS:

Authors are invited to submit papers for presentation at the conference in all areas on countries competitiveness and especially to this year special theme the role of foreign direct investment in shaping competitive advantages.

The deadline for abstract submissions is: February, 28, 2007.

Authors will be notified by March, 15, 2007.

The deadline for submissions of full paper is: May, 15, 2007.

FORMAT:

Papers will be presented in session presentations of 20-25 minutes, followed by 10 minutes of comments by a discussant and an additional 10 minute plenary discussion.

ELECTRONIC SUBMISSION:

Authors are invited to submit abstract electronically (up to 250 words in MS Word or PDF format). It should contain the title; name of the author(s), complete address, telephone, fax numbers and E-mail addresses.
