Dear Colleagues,

A new e-network SOCIAL PARADIGMS has been recently launched, which is a folow-up project of the Summer School “Enhancing Academic Competencies: Practice Oriented Social Work Research”, held at Vytautas Magnus University in Kaunas, Lithuania, July 2002.

The network aims at providing academics and practitioners in social sciences and humanities with an on-line tool to exchange good practice and “know–how” by sharing theoretical knowledge, practical experience and recent information. The objectives of the network are to assist its members in making new contacts, establishing new partnerships, getting feedback and consultancy in the main areas of academic career, including course development, paper writing and research.

You are also invited to suggest topics for discussions in the network’s forum, submit questions to the resource persons at “Ask professor”, send working papers which you would like to get a feedback on, as well as share information on planned projects, conferences, workshops and other events.

Therefore, we especially encourage those who share the same expectations to join international community of Eastern and Western scientists and practitioners in social sciences and humanities through the e-net SOCIAL PARADIGMS. Please visit our website www.socialparadigms.net and register now!

We look forward to meeting you on-line!
